Install

Classified Cask works in any browser, and you can install it so it opens from your home screen like any other app. On an iPhone, iPad or computer, install the web app. On Android you can choose either; the Android app opens a little faster and never shows a browser bar.

Android app

Not on Google Play yet, so you install it from here. You only do this once: everything new in Classified Cask reaches the app by itself.

Installing it

Tap “Download for Android” above. Your phone may ask whether to keep the file: tap Download anyway.
Open the file when it has downloaded, from the notification or from your Downloads (My Files on a Samsung).
Android will say your browser is not allowed to install apps. Tap Settings, turn on “Allow from this source”, then go back.
Tap Install. If Play Protect warns about an unknown app, tap More details, then Install anyway. It warns because the app is not on Google Play yet.
Open Cask from your home screen and sign in.

If Android did not offer the setting

Allow your browser (or My Files) to install apps yourself, then open the file again:

Most Android phones: Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps → your browser → Allow from this source
Samsung: Settings → Apps → ⋮ (top right) → Special access → Install unknown apps → your browser → Allow

Once it is installed you can turn the setting off again.

Samsung: if it still will not install

Samsung’s Auto Blocker stops apps from outside the app stores. Settings → Security and privacy → Auto Blocker → turn it off. Install the app, then turn Auto Blocker back on: the app keeps working.

It needs Chrome or Samsung Internet

The app runs on one of them, so one must be installed and switched on. It does not have to be the browser you use. Without either, it opens with a browser bar at the top. It still works, it just looks less like an app.

Web app

Open Classified Cask in your browser and add it to your home screen. It opens full-screen, and you stay signed in.

iPhone or iPad (Safari): Tap Share (the square with an arrow), then “Add to Home Screen”, then Add.
Android, Chrome: Tap ⋮ (top right), then “Add to Home screen”, then Install.
Android, Samsung Internet: Tap ≡ (bottom right), then “Add page to”, then Home screen.
Android, Firefox: Tap ⋮, then “Add app to Home screen”.
Computer, Chrome or Edge: Click the install icon at the right of the address bar, or open the menu and choose “Install page as app” (Chrome) or Apps → “Install this site as an app” (Edge).
